These images show a recent custom mannequin torso project we completed for a large client.

The process included moulding the shape of the torsos to the clients desired measurements, and then sourcing rare timber for the bases. The client also wanted a vintage look for their mannequins, and also wanted no 2 cloth finishes to be alike. To achieve the finish they wanted, we quite literally bought a HUGE!! amount of coffee and tea and stained a large quantity of cloth. We did this in Australia and then airfreighted the cloth across to our factory in China. With the rare timber components they had sourced, our factory then set about manufacturing the torsos to order. When the completed torsos arrive here in Australia, we have one more step to go - we add customised neck caps to the torsos. To source the materials for the custom neck caps, we scoured Ebay and recycled building materials outlets for old doorknobs, door handles, finials, rope. We then add these to the final product and distribute the torsos to our client's stores.
